Nature only gives us blue colors in all its shades with a little alchemy.
The water-insoluble indigo powder needs chemical partners to permanently dye wool and fabric, but also paper , but don't worry - it sounds more complicated than it is. During the course weekend , we will follow in the footsteps of the blue dyers and follow the 2020 color trend Classic Blue.
We will use different tubs, which are easy to recreate at home, and will dye different papers from azure to sky blue and, by adding yellow, many shades of green.
Using the old traditional Japanese folding and dyeing technique ORIZOME, we create unique patterns on paper. We then fold beautiful things from them - let yourself be surprised!
Please bring thin rubber gloves and a work apron.
